Eqynox Hotel

Breakfast was great, juice, pancakes, cereals, eggs, cheese, meats, a range of yoghurts as well as bread and pastries, tea, coffee etc. Location was easy, outside town in an industrial/retail estate area, but easy to drive in for supper, and I think restaurants were available nearby. We had a superior room and the bed was big and comfortable. Shower room nice, modern, clean and spacious, and really liked the smell of the soap gel provided. Liked that it was a motel, as having car nearby was handy. It would also be good for when we bring our dog next time. Appreciated kettle in room, with coffee and sugar, so we could refill our thermos for our onward travel . Price very good for what we got.

I would describe the Eqynox as more of a motel than a hotel. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and were very friendly. Breakfast was a bit of a free-for-all as the layout is a little confusing if you’re only there for a night and don’t know the layout. To summarise I would stay there again just for the secure parking and value for money.

Don’t be put off by the location, which is in an industrial zone near the small town of Vitry-le-François. The hotel was simple, good value for money and probably one of the cleanest hotel rooms I’ve seen in a long time. Compared to the reviews for some basic hotels in Chalons-en-Champagne, you’d be far better off staying at the Eqynox.

It was immaculately clean and very quiet, also breakfast was excellent. The young lady looking after the hotel was very efficient and polite.

Boutique styling to rooms with fixtures and fittings worthy of high-end hotels. Hand-painted, upcycled furniture are a lovely touch. Breakfasts are plentiful and easy self-service. Staff are uber-friendly, multi-lingual and very helpful.
